Song of an English Patriot

I am an English Patriot; I stand for what is right,

Fuelled by contempt and anger; robed in English Red and White,

Entitled, disenfranchised by folk who don’t look like me

And especially by invaders who arrive from o’er the sea.

I stick to Christian values, though, like Robinson and Co,

By deploring what the church says about immigrants (the foe!)

A Christian’s a crusader, taking that which is our due

And we fight to keep our country free from Islamist or Jew.

My garage? Full of Temu-purchased flags of white and red,

And the red paint for the roundabouts -  now circle flags instead

If you are with us, you’ll be proud of what we have achieved,

If not – expect the fear, the trepidation, feel aggrieved.

We gather round the hotel, shouting at the ones inside,

It’s key they feel unwelcome, threatened, so they won’t abide,

We listen out for Nigel, for his bending of the truth,

We believe his words as gospel, so that we can be uncouth

We treat the woke police on site with justified contempt,

We are sick of Starmer, Reeves and Cooper, their time surely spent,

The Patriot is a radical, an activist, and so,

We long for Tice and Farage, Yaxley-Lennon, Rupert Lowe

They are for the white majority, the ‘silent underclasses’

Never mind that they are billionaires, they represent the masses,

They’ll cut back all our benefits, sell off the NHS

And retreat to tax-free domiciles, leaving an ungodly mess.

Never mind that Brexit caused all this, the move that Farage pushed,

Never mind self-serving billionaires as to the troughs they rush,

Never mind Dubai dwelling types like Tice and wife Oakeshott,

These are serious English Patriots in the land that time forgot.

We have stolen our great flag to stoke disunity and fear,

We have stolen the word ‘patriot’ from others who live here,

You’re embarrassed to be English? But you look, well – just like us.

This racist, fascist world is made for you – climb on the bus.
